This morning a large explosion occurred in the Turkish province of Adana. The bus that was targeted was carrying police officers. The bomb, most likely placed under an overpass, also hit other cars nearby as well as the bus.
Ambulances immediately took a large number of injured people to nearby hospitals.
The Governor of Adana, Mahmut Demirtaş, said that fortunately no one suffered serious injuries.
CTO strongly condemns this and every terrorist attack. We believe the key to preventing such situations is the operational work of the security services, which must investigate the network of terrorist cells even more deeply in order to obtain information that can help detect and prevent future attempted attacks.
Countries such as Turkey have a geographical and strategic position that makes the influx of terrorist cells from the Middle East inevitable.
That is why it is essential to strengthen cooperation between security services around the world, which will also improve the chances of preventing such events.
Dragan Pantić, President of CTO.
