SERBIAN POLICE BRILLIANT THIS YEAR! SUCCESSFUL RESULTS IN SOLVING CRIME THIS YEAR!

According to the latest statistics released by the Interior Ministry, 51 homicides have been committed in Serbia from the beginning of the year to the end of August, of which as many as a record 92% of cases have been solved.
In the same period last year, 62 homicides occurred and 70% of cases were solved.
Such incredible progress in solving the most serious crimes cases is unbelievable, and shows how much the Serbian police are committed to their work, but also how much the investments in the Ministry of Internal Affairs from the state budget have paid off.
This positive trend in case resolution continued this month, with the arrest of three men last week on suspicion of being responsible for beatings until the death of Robert Romic (41).

The statistics from the Ministry of Internal Affairs are also positive when it comes to all crimes in general, as well as individual crimes such as theft and robbery.
In the past eight months, 47,324 criminal offenses of general crime have been committed on the territory of the Republic of Serbia, which is 7% less than in the previous year when that number amounted to 50,775 criminal offenses.
Perhaps even the biggest success this year is due to the Criminal Police Directorate, who, in cooperation with other police departments, seized 3.2 tonnes of narcotics by August, which is a whopping 40% more than last year.
CTO thanks the Minister of Police Nebojsa Stefanovic and the Ministry of Internal Affairs for their diligent work and care for the citizens. Thanks to their efforts, Serbia is becoming safer and more free from day to day.

Dragan Pantic, CTO President.
